CARMERA Site Intelligence provides colorized 3D point cloud data in .las format (version 1.2). The las file includes georeferencing information in the header in GeoTIFF format (more detail provided at http://trac.osgeo.org/geotiff).
These scan files can be used in off-the-shelf software like AutoDesk ReCap (http://www.autodesk.com/products/recap/overview) or Revit (http://www.autodesk.com/products/revit-family/overview) or ESRI ArcGIS Desktop (http://www.esri.com/arcgis/about-arcgis), or can be used in open source 3D software like CloudCompare (for editing and viewing) or ccViewer (lightweight viewer only) which you can learn more about and download from here: http://www.danielgm.net/cc/.
Every point in the point cloud has X, Y, and Z location information as well as, R, G, and B color values. You can choose to visualize these point clouds in any way, popular ways are using the RGB values derived from our imagery to show a colorized point cloud or coloring each point based on the elevation data.
